LHC has banned political gathering at mall road.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Police have bared PML-N from holding a rally at Mall road of provincial capital. Police announced that all political workers must vacate Mall road immediately as LHC has banned political gathering at Mall road.

LHC issued an order earlier that no rallies can be held at mall road. Chief justice LHC ordered Chief Secretary Punjab to implement the court’s order. Opposition parties including PML-N want to hold a rally at Charing Cross where Shehbaz Sharif is expected to address a huge public gathering.

PML-N workers have gathered at Mall road after its leadership decided to address a public gathering at Mall road without getting prior approval from district administration.

The joint opposition on Thursday is observing ‘Youm-e-Siah’ – the black day, by deciding to hold rallies across Pakistan, whereas the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is marking Youm-e-Tashakur’ – the thanksgiving day, to commemorate party’s victory in the General Elections, 2018.

A meeting of provincial heads of joint opposition parties was held in Model Town on Wednesday to overview the arrangements of the protest rally of Lahore.

Talking to media after the meeting, former minister and MPA of PML-N Rana Mashhood said that we’ll hold the Jalsa at any cost despite all the hindrances being created by the government and our workers are desperately waiting to observe the ‘black day’ as the mandate of people was stolen the same day one years ago.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice-president Maryam Nawaz in the morning today departed from Lahore for Quetta, where a rally will be organised.
