Lawmakers express mixed opinion on success of PM Imran's US trip
PTI Waleed Iqbal said PM Imran wants development of Pakistan for which his visit will prove useful.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Government members on Tuesday declared the visit of Prime Minister Imran Khan to the US exceptionally successful whereas the opposition believed it won’t prove useful for Pakistan.
The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Asif Kirmani said that a government, which has lost its credibility, is presenting status quo of Pakistan at international level. The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) representative Rehman Malik also expressed that PM ignored all the important points as they expected before.
PML-N lawmaker Abdul Qayyum asserted that a lot of talks have happened but the practical understanding of its implementation is the real answer. PML-N Senator Pervaiz Rasheed added that PM Imran should come to the Parliament and talk about the things he agreed with the US.
On the other hand, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) member Waleed Iqbal expressed that PM Imran wants development of Pakistan and this visit will prove very beneficial for the country.
Government members expressed that PM Imran’s visit will be helpful for the development of Pakistan whereas opposition members asserted that PM Imran went to US for personal gain and he should report about the deals with US in the House.
