Counting for by-election in NA-205 Ghotki underway

GHOTKI (Dunya News) - Polling for the by-election for National Assembly constituency NA-205-Ghotki-II from Sindh province was held today(Tuesday) and counting is underway after the polling that began at 8 am ended at 5pm without any break. .

The National Assembly seat from Ghotki fell vacant after the death of federal minister for narcotics control Ali Mohammad Mahar on May 21 due to cardiac arrest.

A strong contest is being reported between Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) Sardar Muhammad Bukhsh Khan Maher and independent candidate Sardar Ahmed Ali.

According to Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), 290 polling stations have been set up in the constituency for 360,875 registered voters who are exercising their right to vote.
