Rs80 mn cheque for earthquake victims deposited in account of Shehbaz's son-in-law: Firdous
If Shehbaz and his sons were innocent then why they fled abroad, Firdous asked.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan on Monday has said that a cheque of eighty million rupees as an aid for earthquake victims was deposited in the bank account of ex-Chief Minister of Punjab (CM) Shehbaz Sharif’s son-in-law Ali Imran.
In a tweet, Dr Firdous claimed that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) spokesmen are telling lies one after the other. If Shehbaz and his sons were innocent then why they fled abroad, she asked.
The special assistant said family of Opposition Leader in National Assembly (NA) Shehbaz Sharif should also make its confession and seek forgiveness for the corruption.
She said the list of black money and telegraphic transfer by Shehbaz Sharif and his sons is so long that the spokespersons will soon get tired of defending it.
Earlier, Firdous Ashiq Awan has said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government is taking all measures to restore the lost glory of the country. She said contrary to this, Sharif family has earned a bad name for the country by its involvement in money laundering and corruption at the international level.
The special assistant said a story published in the British newspaper Daily Mail is an evidence of the corruption of Shairfs who not only looted the taxpayers’ money but plundered even the aid by foreign donors meant for the relief of earthquake affectees.
