LAHORE (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Saturday said that Maryam Nawaz has destroyed Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), and the alleged video of Judge Arshad Malik will impair Nawaz Sharif’s case.
Sheikh Rashid held a press conference in Lahore and affirmed that incarcerated former premier Nawaz Sharif will also be sentenced in the second case if ruling is reverted. Politics on the basis of videos has now ended in Pakistan, he stressed.
“Great judges are present in Pakistan who will take the democracy forward. Sharif family can avoid trouble by declaring the source of Avenfield apartments, but they cannot provide the money trail.
“I am the only person who asked Imran Khan to let Sharifs go abroad. He refused it straight away and said negotiations will not be held until the looted money is returned.
“Two groups have been formed inside PML-N and Shehbaz Sharif is playing on both sides of the wicket. Shehbaz Sharif prefers Hamza Shahbaz while Maryam gives priority to Nawaz Sharif.
“The train accident near Walhar Railway Station was unfortunate and 24 persons lost their lives in it. Action will be taken against the responsible persons after investigations within one month.
“The Railways deficit has been reduced by Rs5 billion. Lahore-Mianwali train will start functioning from July 19. It has been decided to put 10 AC coaches on standby for Lahore-Karachi route.
“136 passenger and 55 freight trains are running at the moment. It has further been decided to equip railway locomotives with cameras and Rescue1122 safety levels will be introduced in Railways as well.”
Sheikh Rashid Ahmed hoped that everything will remain well as Prime Minister Imran Khan is going to meet US President Donald Trump and both leaders share same nature.
