NAB starts investigation into alleged irregularities in construction of Arfa Karim Tower

LAHORE (Dunya News) – National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore has started investigation into alleged irregularities in Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and construction of Arfa Karim tower.
NAB has sought information from PITB and Arfa Karim tower management. The Bureau in letter to Secretary Finance Punjab asked to submit details of budget allocation and afunding given in last five years.
Sources said NAB also sought data of the projects from their inception. Sources added that contracts were awarded in past neglecting PEPRA rules.
Sources further said million were spent in some projects of PITB but nothing happened actually and illegal employments were made in past.
