Luxury cars being imported for KP ministers
First luxury jeep worth Rs 8 million has been imported for Shaukat Ali Yousafzai.
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Acting against the austerity drive of Prime Minister Imran Khan, KPK government has started importing luxury vehicles for its ministers.
As per details, first luxury jeep worth Rs 8 million has been imported for Shaukat Ali Yousafzai. A modern 2800cc luxury car has been imported for yousafzai against the rules which says a minister can only have 1800 cc car.
Sources said it was decided to import double cabin car worth Rs5.5 million for minister, however he insisted to get a luxury Fortuner.
It is pertinent to mention Prime Minister Imran Khan in his first address to the nation on August 19, had announced the austerity drive and vowed to cut down government expenses. He initiated the campaign by announcing auction of excess luxury and other vehicles used by the prime minister. The federal cabinet later endorsed the decision of the prime minister and gave the formal go ahead.
