Seven people killed, three injured in armed clash over water dispute in DI Khan

Dera Ismail Khan (Dunya News) – Seven people were killed and three others sustained critical bullet wounds over a water dispute on Sunday in Dera Ismail Khan.
Reportedly, the armed clash broke out between tribes of Pukhta Khel and Mudozai following a brawl over watering fields in Mangal area of Tehsil Daraban Thana Chohodan.
According to local reports, when Mudozai tribesmen went to water their crops, Pukhta Khel tribesmen told them that it was their time.
When the situation deteriorated, Pukhta Khel tribesmen opened fire at Mudozai tribesmen, and resultantly Latif, Ahmed Shah, Habib and Asmat were killed on the spot.
The injured persons include Qayyum and Saleem.
Responding to their alleged act of violence, armed persons of Mudozai tribe killed two tribesmen of Pukhta Khel tribe, including Zahir Shah and Tahir Shah, and injured another person.
Till the last reports of the incident neither police nor rescue officials arrived at the spot, and dwellers of the region, on self-help basis, shift the dead bodies and the injured persons to hospitals.
