Passengers to provide details of their foreign tours in new customs declaration form
This action has been taken on the instructions of FATF to stop dollar smuggling.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Immigration authorities have started collecting the data of the passengers traveling abroad from July 1.
As per details, the passengers have to declare their name, date of birth, passport number, nationality and the visiting country in the customs declaration form. The passengers have to provide information about the trip, weather it was a private tour or government funded. The form would get details weather the trip was for business purpose or for tourism and details of sponsors would be filled.
In addition to providing details about the foreign visit, the passengers have to provide details about jewelry and money carried during the tour.
