Zardari becomes member of three NA standing committees
Heads of these three standing committee of the National Assembly are also from PPP.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – After approval from Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaisar, Pakistan People’s Party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has been given given membership of three standing committees of the National Assembly, Dunya News reported.
Chairmen of National Assembly standing committees on trade, Water resources and industries and production had requested Speaker Asad Qaisar to include Asif Zardari as a member of these committees.
The chairman of standing committee has power to issue production order of any member to attend committee’s meeting. After becoming a member, Zardari will be able to attend sessions of the committee.
Former president Asif Ali Zardari is currently under custody of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in connection with the mega money laundering case.
It is pertinent to mention here that the heads of these three standing committee of the National Assembly are also from Pakistan People’s Party.
