Shoaib Suddle likely to head high-powered inquiry commission

PM Imran Khan has completed consultation with the political leaders regarding the appointment of inquiry commissions head.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Political Affairs Naeem ul Haq on Monday said that Dr Shoaib Suddle has been considered along other names to head the new high-powered inquiry commission to probe loans taken in last 10 years.

PM Imran Khan has completed consultation with the political leaders regarding the appointment of inquiry commission’s head.

According to Dunya News, PM Khan can declare the appointment of the head any time soon. The commission will probe into the Rs24000 billion loans acquired by the previous ruler during the last 10 years.

It is pertinent here to mention that in his address to the nation, Prime Minister Imran Khan had earlier this month, announced to form a high-powered inquiry commission.

He said that the commission will comprise of officials from Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Intelligence Bureau (IB), Federal Investigation Authority (FIA), Security and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) and other departments.

He asserted, “Former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz and former president and Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari came to an agreement that each would rule for five years and "not say anything to each other".
