Fake accounts case: Executive director of Karachi land department arrested
The suspect has been accused of illegal allotment of welfare plots in Karachi.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has arrested executive director of Karachi land department in fake accounts case.
According to Dunya News, executive director of Karachi land department Sajjad Abbasi was arrested by NAB after rejection of bail by IHC. The suspect has been accused of illegal allotment of welfare plots in Karachi.
Justice Mohsin Akhter Kyani remarked that Pakistan is not a country to loot and asked NAB why CM Sindh was not nominated in this case.
The accountability court has ordered to provide copies of references in fake accounts’ pink residency case for the indictment of accused.
The court expressed anger over non-transfer of accused Abdul Ghani Majeed to Islamabad and ordered to assure the presence of accused on next hearing.
