Data Darbar blast: CM Buzdar distributes cheques among families of martyred policemen
Sons and daughters of the martyred police officers will get free education and health services.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar on Thursday met the families of the police officers, who had lost their lives in Data Darbar suicide blast on May 8, and distributed Rs10 million cheques among them.
Reportedly, the CM met the families of the martyred police officers, including Head Constable Shahid Nazir, Head Constable Muhammad Sohail, Constable Muhammad Saddam Hussain and Constable Muhammad Saleem.
He also stated that homes will also be given to the families of the victim police officers and the families will get full salaries of the martyred officers until their retirement period.
Moreover, he said government jobs will be ensured for officers’ widows or sons or daughters [whosoever applicable], and they will be facilitated with government accommodations to live in.
Furthermore, sons and daughters of the martyred police officers will get free education and health services.
Besides, the CM presented rich tributes to the officers for their great sacrifice, and extended condolences to the bereaved families.
“The officers have sacrificed their lives for the motherland,” he said, adding that the government will do whatever is possible for their welfare.
“Martyrs shall remain alive for eternity…they are nation’s heroes…the Punjab Police have always been on the frontline of bravery and courage,” he stated.
“The entire nation is proud of them for the great sacrifice they have rendered…the blood of the martyrs [police officers] will not go in vain,” he concluded.
