IG Punjab takes notice of Jalalpur Pirwala incident

IG Punjab gave 48-hour ultimatum to RPO Mulatan, CPO Multan for the arrest of all accused.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Inspector General (IG) of Police, Punjab Capt. (retd) Arif Nawaz Khan while taking notice of the Jalalpur Pirwala incident on Wednesday has suspended DSP while sought a report from CPO Multan, SSP operations and SP Saddar, Dunya News reported.

IG Punjab Capt. (retd) Arif Nawaz Khan conducted an emergency video link conference which was also participated by RPO Mulatan, CPO Multan and other senior police officials.

He expressed concern over the killing of 10 people in an armed clash between two rival groups in Jalalpur Pirwala and asked from RPO Multan about the measures taken against the accused involved in the incident.

Regional Police Officer (RPO) gave a detailed briefing on the incident and informed him that police have so far arrested six accused in connection of the incident.

IG Punjab Capt. (retd) Arif Nawaz Khan gave 48-hour ultimatum to RPO Mulatan, CPO Multan for the arrest of all accused involved in the incident and also asked them to personally monitor the police operation against the accused.
