Scorching heat prevails throughout Pakistan

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Sizzling weather prevailed across the country on Sunday and mercury touched 51 degree Celsius in Jacobabad.
Met office said weather remained hot and dry in most parts of the country on Sunday, while very hot in eastern Balochistan, Sindh, plain areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. However, light rain occurred at a few places in Malakand, Rawalpindi, Lahore divisions and Kashmir.
According to Met department, Jaccobabad sizzled with 51°C, Padidan, Dadu with 50°C, Bahawalnagar, Sibbi, R.Y khan, Rohri, Moen-Jo-daro, Larkana and Shaheed Benazirabad with 49°C on Sunday.
Met department said mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country on Sunday night. However, dust-thunderstorm/rain is expected at isolated places in Malakand, Hazara, Rawalpindi, Peshawar divisions, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
