ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Saturday has alleged Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) of respecting the institutions for its own interest.

In a tweet, Awan said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has always struggled for the freedom of judiciary. PML-N workers’ assault on the Supreme Court building is the blackest and most disgraceful incident of the history, she added.

Special assistant said the PML-N leadership’s campaign titled "Mujhe Kion Nikala", aimed at maligning the judiciary, is still fresh in the minds of people.

Earlier, Dr Firdous said Imran Khan is a great leader and that he has all the qualities to steer the country out of the crisis.

Imran Khan is making all-out efforts to break the status quo and provide maximum relief to the people, she continued.

As regards the opposition’s role over the issue of references, the special assistant said that parliamentarians are bound to uphold the secrecy of important official documents and also responsible for not leaking information about the sensitive issues.
