LAHORE (Dunya News) – Leader of the Opposition and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Shahbaz Sharif expressed in Punjab Assembly today (May 27) that former premier Nawaz Sharif made history by making Pakistan a nuclear state by pushing all the global pressure aside.

While addressing on Youm-e-Takbeer day, he asserted that May 28 is a proud day for the nation. “On this day, Nawaz Sharif fought against the external pressure and made this nation a nuclear state, he added. He stated that Youm-e-Takbir’s celebrations will be organized in all cities of Pakistan.

Youm-e-Takbeer is celebrated as a national day in Pakistan in commemoration of Chagai-I and Chagai-II. It is a historical day for the Pakistani nation and Muslims around the world because Pakistan emerged as the first Muslim and seventh nuclear state in the world today. Pakistan Army and other law enforcement agencies rendered enormous sacrifices in the war against terrorism and marked a new history of courage and valor.

He also expressed that the public is suffering through inflation on regular basis. Prices of medicines are soaring high, he added. He asserted that common items which could’ve been easily bought by poor before in Ramadan have now become a dream for them.

He warned that inflation in prices of gas, electricity and other items is just a start as people will starve for even two meals a day.
