Six dead, 300 feeders tripped as heavy rain lashes parts of country
Rain-thunderstorm is expected at isolated places in Malakand, Hazara divisions, Gilgit Baltistan.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – At least six people were killed while more than 300 feeders tripped in Lahore as heavy rain lashed parts of country.
Two minor sisters lost their lives whereas another sustained wounds after roof of a house in Ferozewala caved in due to downpour on Friday night.
Meanwhile, two children were killed in wall collapse in Bhera. A thirteen-year-old boy drowned in rain water in Abbottabad.
Meanwhile, lightning strike claimed life of a person and injured three others in Lower Dir.
On the other hand, strong gusty winds and rain tripped 300 Lesco feeders in Lahore whereas Faisalabad, Sargodha, Mianwali, Kala Bagh, Joharabad and Chiniot also faced power cut.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, rain-thunderstorm is expected at isolated places in Malakand, Hazara divisions, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir.
