Islamabad: Iranian FM meets PM Imran, lauds Pakistan's efforts for peace

Zarif stressed expanding mutual cooperation regarding Pakistan and Iranian ports.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif called on Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad on Friday and discussed Pak-Iran bilateral relations.

During the meeting, the Iranian FM lauded Pakistan’s efforts for peace in the region and war against terrorism. He stressed expanding mutual cooperation regarding Pakistan and Iranian ports.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi was also present on the occasion.

Earlier today, Javad Zarif arrived at Foreign Office and met Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi. The two sides discussed bilateral relations, border security issues and the recent tension in Iran-US tension.
