ISLAMABAD (APP) – National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has recovered Rs 326.314 billion since its inception and deposited into national exchequer, the spokesman of anti graft watchdog Wednesday said.

He said the bureau had apprehended 4,010 suspects, received 426,648 complaints, authorized 14,085 complaint verifications, 8,988 inquiries, 4,248 investigations, filed 3,535 references against various suspects since inception of the bureau.

The overall conviction ratio in Accountability Courts remained 70.8 percent, which was unprecedented.

Giving details of NAB performance from October 11, 2017 to March 31, 2019, the spokesman said the bureau had arrested 600 suspects, received 54,344 complaints, authorized 2,125 complaint verifications, 1,059 inquiries, 302 investigations, 4,300 million recoveries and filed 1,231 references involving Rs 900 billion corruption.
