Nurses call off protest after successful dialogues in Karachi
The health secretary on Monday held dialogues with the protesting nurses and assured them that their professional health allowance
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Protesting nurses and peramedical staff in Karachi ended their strike on Monday, saying they took a decision to end the strike on ninth day on the surety of Sindh Health department officials.
They continued to stage protest and sit-in outside the Karachi Press Club from Monday April 29, demanded demanding health allowance, regularisation of their contracts and better posts.
The health secretary on Monday held dialogues with the protesting nurses and assured them that their professional health allowance will be considered by the finance department.
The secretary also promised them that the promotions of medical education and health services nursing staff will be expedited.
