KARACHI (Dunya News) - K-Electric teams, supported by law enforcement agencies during a large-scale crackdown against power theft on Tuesday dislodged cables weighing over 800 kilograms in the area of Sherpao Muslimabad, Landhi.
As per details garnered, the cables were resolutely dismantled despite resistance from the local kunda mafia which was illegally supplying power to more than 100 residential and commercial locations.
It is pertinent to mention here, that not only is power theft recognized as the cause of load-shedding it also damages power cables and overloads transformers causing power outages.
