PM Khan approves Sehat Insaf Cards for 300,000 families of Tharparkar
Every family of Tharparkar will be able to get free medical treatment of up to Rs 720,000 per annum.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has announced a health package for Tharparker districts, under which as many as 300,000 families will be provided Sehat Insaf Cards.
Every family of Tharparkar will be able to get free medical treatment of up to Rs 720,000 per annum.
Importantly, the cards will also be issued to differently-abled persons living in Islamabad, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Prime Minister Imran Khan in March had announced a health package for the residents of Tharparkar under the ‘Insaf Health Card’ scheme, which was aimed to benefit drought-stricken families in the region.
PM Khan had made this announcement during an address in Chachro. The premier said that he had chosen Tharparkar for the visit as it was the least underdeveloped area of the country.
“The government is introducing the Sehat Insaf Card through which Rs720,000 will be available for every family for medical treatment,” he had said.
“The government is working to alleviate poverty from the country,” he had said, added that reverse osmosis plants would also be built in Thar for the availability of potable water.
