Raid to arrest Hamza: Marriyum Aurangzeb contradicts NABs statement
Marriyum Aurangzeb clarified that Hamza Shahbaz has been granted protective bail by the LHC.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Marriyum Aurangzeb contradicted the National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) claim of abuse and violence by opposition leader Hamza Shahbaz’s security guards over their raid at Sharif’s residence today (Friday).
Speaking during Dunya News program Ikhtalafi Note, she clarified that Hamza Shahbaz has been granted protective bail by the Lahore High Court (LHC). She added that NAB even asked the Supreme Court (SC) to nullify the protective bail on which neither SC nor LHC has given any decision yet.
The PML-N leader said that NAB claimed to show the arrest warrant just like they claimed to be beaten up by Hamza’s security guards. She added that when NAB team walked out of Sharif’s residence, they told media that they just came to meet Hamza Sharif.
She said that later NAB officials barged into the house and spent around two and a half hour, had tea and returned empty handed after complete details regarding protective bail were shared with them.

NAB returned because they knew it was illegal to conduct such raids and to violate the court’s protective bail, she added.
