(Web Desk) – Forbes issues its annual 30 Under 30 Asia list for the year which includes a total of 5 Pakistanis and one start up making the grand total of 9 Pakistanis that have made us proud.

The list is comprised of innovators from 24 countries selected across ten categories that are unconventional and making a difference in their respective countries.

The Pakistanis that made it to the list were selected from the Social Entrepreneurs, Enterprise Technology, Industry, Manufacturing & Energy, Healthcare & Science, Entertainment & Sports, Retail & Ecommerce categories.

Ahmed Rauf Essa

Ahmed Rauf Essa, 23, from the Retail & Ecommerce 2019 category, cofounded Telemart when he was still in the business school. The company caters to more than 500 dealers online, providing end-end solutions to major firms like Ufone, P&G and Lucky cement.

Karishma Ali

Karishma Ali, 21, from the Entertainment & Sports 2019 category, President of Chitral Womens Sports Club is the first female football player from Chitral who has played at the national and international level. She is the founder of Chitral Women s Sports Club, her team was also the first to represent Pakistan in AFL International Cup, she has also participated in Jubilee Games in Dubai.

Zain Ashraf

Zain Ashraf, 28, from the Social Entrepreneurs 2019 category, is the founder of Seed Out a crowdfunding platform that establishes entrepreneurs with interest-free micro financing with an aim to end poverty. Zain also won the Commonwealth Youth Award in 2018 for his efforts in development work.

Laila Kasuri

Laila Kasuri, 29, from the Healthcare & Science 2019 category, is a water analyst working with Global Green Growth Investment s Policy Solutions Division, who has also worked with World Bank, the US Army Corps of Engineers, and the UC Davis Center for Watershed Sciences.

Zainab Bibi

Zainab Bibi, 29, from the Industry, Manufacturing & Energy 2019 category, working to develop new methods for renewable energy, established Pakistan Society for Green Energy in 2013. She has also been honored with Queen’s Young Leaders Award in 2016.

Roshni Rides

Hanaa Lakhani, Hasan Usmani,Gia Farooqi and Moneeb Mian, cofounders of Roshni Rides, a carpooling platform for commuters, from the Enterprise Technology 2019 category, wanted to provide a safe, female friendly transport service to the women in Pakistan.
