PM Imran Khan performs groundbreaking of Balochistan Health Complex, Quetta-Zhob Road.

QUETTA (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan performed groundbreaking of Balochistan Health Complex and Quetta-Zhob Road N-50 as part of western alignment of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) on Friday.

Addressing the ceremony in Quetta, the premier said Balochistan was neglected by previous governments owing to personal benefits, and the western route should have been built earlier.

He vowed to implement strong municipal system in the province. While bashing Nawaz Sharif, Imran Khan said the former prime minister visited London more than Balochistan.

Prime Minister Imran Khan also thanked Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa for support.

He expressed the confidence that development of western route of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will enhance connectivity and develop the deprived areas of Balochistan.

The prime minister said the carriageway will connect Balochistan not only with different parts of the country but also the region, adding that the government is also planning to lay down Quetta-Taftan rail track to connect with Iran.

Imran Khan said that the federal government with the cooperation of provincial government and Pakistan Army will also establish a cancer hospital in Quetta.

He appreciated the Army Chief Qamar Javed Bajwa for using his connections with the UAE government to set up to the Cardiac Centre.

Imran Khan said the present government believes in uplifting all parts of the country. He regretted that Balochistan was neglected in the past.
