Asad Umar chairs NFC meeting in Lahore.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Finance Minister Asad Umar chaired a meeting of the 9th National Finance Commission Award in Lahore on Friday (today) to discuss the resource distribution formula between the Center and the federating units.
The session was scheduled to be attended by the provincial finance and chief ministers amongst others, however, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah did not attend the meeting.
Let it be known that Murad Ali Shah is also the finance minister of Sindh. The finance secretary joined the National Finance Commission meeting on behalf of Murad Ali Shah.
The last NFC award was signed in December 2009 in which greater share was given to the provinces from the federal divisible pool.
