PM Imran Khan chairs National Internal Security Committee session.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan Thursday chaired a meeting of the National Internal Security Committee in Islamabad.

The committee examined the internal security situation, the progress in implementation of the National Action Plan (NAP) and the actions taken in the light of recommendations by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).

The session was briefed on Madaris (seminaries) reforms by Minister for Federal Education Shafqat Mahmood. The security officials informed the dignitaries about the anti-terrorism operations, and the steps taken countrywide against extremists were analyzed.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Finance Minister Asad Umar, Minister for Education Shafqat Mehmood, Minister for Religious Affairs, Noor-ul-Haq Qadri, Minister of State for Interior Shehryar Khan Afridi, DG ISI and DG IB attended the meeting among others.
