LAHORE (Dunya News) – Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry on Sunday said incarcerated former premier Nawaz Sharif is not willing for treatment in Pakistan despite availability of expert doctors.
Fawad Chaudhry expressed his views after chairing a joint session of the federal and Punjab governments. He clarified that government is providing best medical facilities to Nawaz Sharif.
The federal minister told that Sharif brothers are not willing for treatment even from their own hospitals. He alleged that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) is doing politics over its supremo’s health.
“Expert doctors are available at Jinnah Hospital, Shaikh Zayed Hospital and Mayo Hospital. Nawaz Sharif is allowed for treatment of his own choice and has even been offered to arrange a foreign specialist here,” the federal minister told.
Fawad Chaudhry admitted that the government is being blackmailed over Nawaz Sharif’s health issues, and said the option of plea bargain is available if Nawaz wants to go abroad. Chaudhry was also displeased with Punjab government for providing special facilities to Nawaz Sharif.
