Banks to receive Hajj applications till March 6
The process of submitting Hajj applications under the government scheme will start today.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Submission of Hajj applications under the government scheme will commence from February 25 (today) at various branches of 14 designated banks, Dunya News reported.
Applicants will be able to submit their forms to 14 designated banks till March 6.
This year, at least 107, 526 aspiring pilgrims will perform Hajj under the government scheme who will be selected through a computerised ballot on March 8.
Under the government scheme, the Hajj dues will be: Rs 436,975 for the northern region of the country including Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Multan and Rahim Yar Khan, while the cost for the south region including Karachi, Quetta and Sukkur will be Rs 426,975.
The charges are exclusive of the cost for qurbani (animal sacrifice) services, which can be optionally availed for another Rs 19,451.
