24 killed from roof collapse, landsliding in various parts of country

PDMA has confirmed the death toll in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as 14.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – At least 24 people were killed from roof collapse and landsliding in various parts of the country after heavy rainfall that lashed the country yesterday.

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has confirmed the death toll in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as 14.

House of a roof collapsed on Multan’s Budhla road as a result of which a woman and her three children were killed while a couple died in Rajanpur. Meanwhile in Kot Chatta, a man was killed while his father sustained injuries.

In Gujranwala, roof a house went down killing wife and husband. A teacher was killed after school’s roof caved in.

A woman died in Asheeri Darra from house roof collapse while five other sustained injuries.

In Dir Bala, two children were killed and a woman was injured from landsliding.

One student became victim of landsliding in Muzaffarabad while two remain safe.

In Shangla, six houses were damaged from landsliding whereas in Bajaur three were killed in roof collapse incidents.

A two-year-old girl was killed and four people injured in Kahota from roof collapse.
