State Minister for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar has said that 71 Pakistanis are languishing in Indian jails despite the fact that they have served their sentences.During a question answer session in the National Assembly, she said that five Pakistanis were imprisoned in Europe and the US while no such Pakistani, who had served his sentence, was in Afghanistan. She told the National Assembly that if the Foreign Office awarded a diplomatic immunity to a diplomat, he could not be trialed on a foreign land. She said that the Pakistani delegation, which went to attend the UN session, would cost the national exchequer Rs 45 million.
