Young doctors strike in Sindh enters fourth day

The protesting doctors said that the provincial government has failed to fulfil its promises.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – The protest of young doctors, seeking an increase in their salaries equivalent to other provinces, in all major cities of Sindh province including Karachi entered fourth day, Dunya News reported on Saturday.

Thousands of patients have been undergoing extreme difficulties in Karachi, Hyderabad, Khairpur, Tharparkar, Nawabshah and other cities due to young doctors continued strike across Sindh.

The protesting doctors are demanding an increase in their salaries equivalent to other provinces, allowances and health insurance to the same levels as those offered to government doctors in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab.

According to sources, the doctors have announced to continue demonstration until their demands are met. They said that the provincial government has failed to fulfil its promises.
