PM chairs meeting to review arrangements for Saudi Crown Prince visit

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman is due to arrive in Islamabad for a two-day visit on Feb 16.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday chaired a high level meeting to review security arrangements for Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman visit to Pakistan.

Prime Minister directed the authorities to provide fool-proof security to the visiting guest during visit to Pakistan.

Corps Commander Rawalpindi Corps, Lieutenant General Bilal Akbar and Director-General (DG) of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor also attended the meeting.

Finance Minister Asad Umar, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry, Petroleum Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan, Advisor Commerce, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Yousuf Baig Mirza, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Iftikhar Durrani, Foreign Secretary, Secretary Information, Secretary Interior, Secretary Finance were also present on the occasion.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman is due to arrive in Islamabad for a two-day visit on the afternoon of February 16. He is expected to sign agreements worth up to $15 billion, including for three power plants in Pakistan’s Punjab province and an oil refinery and petrochemical complex to be set up in the coastal city of Gwadar in southwestern Balochistan.
