Galyat: Residents rescue five tourists from avalanche-hit vehicle
According to sources, all the rescued persons were in stable condition.
GALYAT (Dunya News) – Resident of Gandala area of Galyat rescued five tourists who were buried under heavy snow after an avalanche hit the vehicle they were traveling in at the Galyat-Barian Nathia Gali Road on Thursday night.
According to details, the tourists were going to Nathia Gali from Galyat when an avalanche hit their vehicle in Gandala area, burying them under heavy snow.
Residents informed the contractor and other rescue authorities about the incident but failed to get any response. The residents launched a rescue operation of self-help basis and retrieved all five tourists alive from the vehicle after a hectic effort of two hours.
According to sources, all the rescued persons were in stable condition and have been shifted to a safer place.
