Sahiwal Incident: Six CTD personnel sent to jail on judicial remand

SAHIWAL (Dunya News) – In a major development in Sahiwal incident, six Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) personnel were sent to jail on judicial remand.
According to Dunya News sources, the eye witnesses have been summoned tomorrow (Monday), at 11am in Yousafwala.
An advertisement has also been published in asking the people with solid evidence or leads to come forward.
On the other hand, the CTD personnel were produced before the Session Court Judge, who ordered to send them to jail on judicial remand after which they were shifted to Sahiwal Central Jail.
Earlier, an FIR had been lodged against 16 CTD officials but only six had been arrested.
On January 19, four people – including two women – were killed in the ‘encounter’ involving Punjab’s Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) personnel on a highway in the Qadirabad area of Sahiwal district.
