Grand Hyatt hotel: 50 flat owners found defaulting tax to FBR

LAHORE (Dunya News) – At least 50 flat owners of the luxurious Grand Hyatt hotel in Islamabad have been allegedly identified as tax defaulters.

According to sources, the flats are worth Rs2 billion and the project’s contractor has transferred 14 flats worth 30 crore to the ownership of three of the companies owned by him and his partners.

The official documents further revealed that another 40 flat owners were not even registered with the Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR).

Besides, over 12 owners have not disclosed their properties in the Grand Hyatt hotel despite living there for many years.
