LAHORE (Dunya News) – The incumbent Federal Minister for Railways and Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad on Saturday reiterated his stance against Shahbaz Sharif’s chairmanship of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) and vowed to lodge a case against him at the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP).

Reportedly, he spoke to the media in Lahore and claimed that Shahbaz Sharif has been using excuses of illness and backache to gain National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO).

“If I were included in the PAC, I would held him accountable,” he said, adding that he would plead with Prime Minister Imran Khan to substitute him at the position of one of his members in the committee.

He expressed hope that Pakistan would prosper in the year 2019, whereas Bhutto and Sharif families do not have any political career.

Regarding train services, he said he has taken a notice of poor cleanliness in trains and he has decided to build another platform at the Rohri railway station.
He said railway police would check tickets at the train stations, and a strict action would be taken against illegal travellers.

“The department has profited Rs10 crore within two weeks from non-stop trains,” he went on to say.
