NAB arrested Sharif on Oct 5 over charges of corruption.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Saturday disclosed that it has obtained the details pertaining to ‘owning assets beyond means’ by the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly and Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PMLN) President Shahbaz Sharif.

Reportedly, the NAB has also claimed to obtain his properties, accounts and vehicles’ details from 1997 to 2004, and from 2007 to 2018, respectively.

Meanwhile, the antigraft body has been granted an authority to interrogate the younger Sharif in the jail.

Moreover, his son Hamza Shahbaz and brother Salman Shahbaz are also under interrogation by the NAB.

Currently, he is under judicial remand by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) after being arrested on October 5th in 2018 on corruption charges of Rs14 billion in the Ashiana-i-Iqbal Housing Scheme case.

Earlier, the PTI leaders had raised objections over the nomination of Shahbaz as the chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), arguing that the opposition leader was himself involved in corruption cases.
