The CCTV footage shows Mian Javed Ahmed while he was being transported to Services Hospital Lahore

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Dunya News sources have acquired footages via CCTV cameras which had captured transport of Professor Mian Javed Ahmed, the former chief executive officer (CEO) of the University of Sargodha (UoS) Lahore sub-campus, to the Services Hospital in Lahore.

The footage clearly showed his lifeless and partially covered body lying on a stretcher with handcuffs and chains while he was being transported from the jail to the hospital.

Furthermore, the footage also showed a person performing CPR on his body with artificial ventilation in an effort to restore his breathing.

Meanwhile, hospital authorities stated that he was declared dead on arrival by doctors. The analysis determined that he was handcuffed in the ambulance.

According to Dunya News sources, on December 21th at 9:30 am, Javed informed jail authorities of having chest pain while jail’s physicians performed his medical examination in camp jail at 10:00 am.

Ironically, ECG feature was unavailable and only his blood pressure could be monitored, and instead of moving to hospital in an emergency, he was sent back to his cell.

At 2:00 pm, fellow prisoners ‘in a state of panic’ called jail authorities when Javed’s condition deteriorated.  Thereafter, he was rushed to the Services Hospital in Lahore but oxygen cylinder facility was unavailable in the ambulance.

It has been further revealed that the jail authorities were confused while trying to follow a manual for his check-up and there were no facilities in the jail camp for winter s cold temperatures.

The deceased was being interrogated by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) over alleged charges of illegal opening of sub-campuses of the varsity in Lahore and Mandi Bahauddin and embezzlement of millions of rupees.
Pictures of his handcuffed body went viral on the social media, which caused grief and anger amongst public and political spheres.
