To overcome all these harms, Pakistan has to make good water management policies.

(Web DesK) – Despite having one of the world’s largest glaciers, Pakistan is at risk of water scarcity and is among the most affected Asian nations by extreme weather events on account of global climate change. Water is becoming an increasingly scarce resource in Pakistan. Reports by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources (PCRWR) warn that the country will reach absolute water scarcity by 2025.

In this regard, Advisor to Prime Minister Imran Khan on Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam has hold a conclave with the an international TV channel to present Pakistan s stance on current climate changes across the country especially on the looming water crises.

Responding to a question, Mr Aslam said Pakistan is vulnerable to water problems as there are many aspects to it; some time Pakistan has excess of water, resulting in floods, and sometimes Pakistan faces shortage of water because we fail to store it effectively.

To overcome all these harms, Pakistan has to make good water management policies as the present Government (PTI-led Government) is dare to cog Pakistan s environmental challenges, which are being faced, by initiating a project called " Recharge Pakistan" that will address the all issues.

"PM has already announced the new projects, said PM s adviser, "Pakistan is making a feasibility report, which may take almost six months after which the implementation of projects will begin."

However, to make more than one project is necessary to tackle Pakistan s water crises as climate change is unpredictable.

On the other hand, not only Pakistan but also many other countries, especially developing countries are facing populations  economy and environmental needs, in this regard PM khan has also announced its alternative policies which will fulfill these basic demands.
These projects include: promoting renewable energy, enhancing forest cover worldwide expanding clean and efficient public transportation, and many more.

Talking about the benefits of PM khan s initiatives, he said that projects will be helpful in creating new green jobs and industries to boost economic growth adding that these project will accelerate the economy without compromising the cost of environment.

Federal government, moreover, provides 50pc funds while the provincial govt is responsible for rest, so, at this issue, both - federal and provincial govt - are on the same page to tackle the problems associated with climate change and pollution.
"Pakistan, however, is trying to engage with India on this issue as this is a trans-boundary problem" Malik Amin said.
