Despite disability, MA English student works hard to achieve his goals
Zahid Mukhtar is disable but his spirit, courage, and high aims could not stop him.
(Web Desk) – Pakistan has today (Monday), December 3, joined the rest of the world to commemorate the International Day of Disabled Persons.
In this regard, here, we are going to share a tremendous and wonderful story of a student, Zahid Mukhtar, who is the student of M.A English at Government Khawaja Farid College, Rahim Yar Khan.
Zahid Mukhtar is disable but his spirit, courage, and high aims could not bring him to a halt to get education and it is his dream and utmost wish to become a professor of English at the same college after the completion of his education.
"I didn t ever think that my disability was my powerlessness and I continued my education without considering my disability my weakness to achieve the targets of my life," said Zahid Mukhtar, "my parents played a great role who carried a tremendous amount of responsibility on their shoulders to took me to the college."
However, Zahid s sister has asked Government for the financial help of her brother as there is no one in their family to work for wages. She said that her father is herder who puts goats in a pasture to graze, so it is not easy for them to make ends meet.
So, it is the responsibility of government to provide the financial assistance to such aspiring and ambitious persons of the society who want to achieve their goals and targets of life through hardworking.
On the other hand, Prime Minister Imran Khan also took to micro blogging website and posted, "On International Day of Persons with Disabilities, I want to reiterate our govt s commitment to transforming the lives of those with disabilities by offering them equal opportunities in education & employment. Our Bill to empower & enable them to surmount all barriers is ready."
