33 martyrs of Lower Orakzai blast laid to rest
All the shops and educational institutes are closed in the area
ORAKZAI (Dunya News) – The funeral prayers of 33 martyrs who lost their lives in Lower Orakzai blast have been offered today (Saturday).
According to details, all the shops and educational institutes are closed in the area while no case of the explosion has been registered so far.
On Friday, at least 33 people were killed and 56 sustained injuries in an explosion in Hangu’s Lower Orakzai Agency.
The blast ripped through the market and caused massive destruction. Rescue teams shifted the dead bodies and injured to Kalaya hospital.
The blast was caused by "an improvised explosive device hidden in a carton of vegetables, a senior administration official in Orakzai district in the semi-autonomous tribal areas told.
Orakzai is one of seven restive semi-autonomous tribal regions on the Afghan border, an area that has long been a focal point in the global war on terror.
