Summary Speaker Asad Qaiser has summoned the National Assembly session on the requisition of the opposition.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The National Assembly meeting is underway today (Friday) in the parliament house. Speaker Asad Qaiser has summoned the NA session in the Parliament House on the requisition of the opposition.

The National Assembly Secretariat said on Thursday that the timing of the session has been changed from 3 pm to 10:00am.

The Speaker summoned the session in exercise of powers conferred by clause (3) of theArticle 54 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

Meanwhile, parliamentary party meeting of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will be held at the Parliament House today (Friday).

PML-N president Shahbaz Sharif will chair the meeting. The PML-N parliamentary party meeting will chalk out a strategy for the National Assembly session.

Sources said that the issue of appointment of Public Account Committee chairmen will also come under discussion during the meeting. The meeting will also chalk out strategy to stage protest against PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif, PML-N president Shahbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shahbaz appearance in graft cases in National Accountability Bureau (NAB) courts.

Sources further said that the PML-N parliamentary party meeting will also review Prime Minister Imran Khan’s recent visits to China and Saudi Arabia.
