Pakistan condemns assassination of Kashmiri leader Hafizullah Mir
The leader was shot dead by gunmen at his home in the southern Achabal area.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Pakistan has strongly condemned the brutal assassination of Kashmiri leader Hafizullah Mir and the continuing Indian atrocities in held Kashmir.

In a tweet message, Foreign Office spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal lauded the statement of the Organization for Islamic Cooperation Secretary General and call for urgent establishment of the COI recommended by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.

According to police, the top political leader of Tehreek-i-Hurriyat --- a group that challenges India’s sovereignty over Kashmir --- was shot dead by gunmen at his home in the southern Achabal area.
Mir died on the spot while his wife was injured.
