PM Khan submits request in CDA for regularization of his Bani Gala residences

The premier has submitted application to CDA for the regularization of his two residences.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Following the orders of Supreme Court of Pakistan, Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Monday begun the process to regularize properties in Bani Gala area of Islamabad, including the residence of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The premier has submitted application to CDA for the regularization of his two residences.

The premier has also submitted proprietary documents and map of his 250-kanal residences in CDA one window office.

Apart from this, the body has also received at least 132 requests to regularize commercial and residential buildings in Bani Gala.

A fine of Rs100 per square will be taken for the regularization of residential buildings whereas Rs200 per square for commercial ones.

Sources report that the charges for the commercialization of land in Bani Gala have been fixed at Rs3500 per square while the development charges will be received separately.

Earlier, the top judge had directed the premier to set an example for others by becoming the first one to pay fine for regularization of his Bani Gala land.

Imran Khan raised this issue and now when he has become Prime Minister of Pakistan, everything is in his hands, he added.

CJP had also ordered the committee to cancel lease of the companies who fail to fulfill the rules.

On a suo motu, the apex court had taken up illegal constructions in Banigala on a letter written by PTI chief Khan. The PTI leader had invited the court’s attention towards the large-scale encroachment on the botanical garden, unchecked and unplanned construction in Banigala, massive denuding due to large scale tree felling and pollution of the Rawal Lake due to sewage.
