Two killed, several wounded in Karachi blast
Police were yet to determine the exact nature and cause of the blast
KARACHI (Dunya News) – At least two persons was killed and several others injured after an explosion took place in Quaidabad area of the Karachi on Friday.
As per the details garnered, the blast took place under the Quaidabad flyover in Karachi.
SSP Malir said that soon after the blast, police reached the spot and cordoned off the area. He said that the police were yet to determine the exact nature and cause of the blast.
Rescue staff shifted the wounded people to local hospital for medical assistance.
Meanwhile, the security officers found another bomb placed in a tiffin during the search operation and immediately defused it.
On the other hand, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah took notice of the incident and sought a report from the Additional IG Police.
He also directed the authorities concerned to provide all possible assistance for the treatment of the injured persons.
