Punjab Senate Elections: PM advises Governor, CM to cooperate for party success

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan advises Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar and Chief Minister Usman Buzdar to cooperate for the success of party as by-election for two seats of Senate from Punjab are going to be held on Thursday.

According to details, PM Khan has called Government Allied Parliamentary party meeting on November 14.

It is pertinent here to mention that by-election for two seats of Senate from Punjab, including a general and a reserved seat for women, will be held on Thursday.

These seats had fallen vacant due to de-notification of Haroon Khan and Saadia Abbasi as senators in light of a Supreme Court verdict.

According to Election Commission of Pakistan, the polling will be held at Punjab Assembly building in Lahore from 09:00am to 04:00am without any break.

The ECP has appointed Provincial Election Commissioner, Punjab Zafar Iqbal Hussain as Returning Officer besides five Polling Officers to ensure free, fair and transparent polling process.
