Karachi: Lawyers observe black day

Lawyers in Karachi are observing a black day for the incidents that took place on April 9, 2008.

On April 8, 2008, terrorists attacked the City Court, Malir Court and Tahir Plaza to burn the lawyers’ offices. Nine people were killed in the incident, including six lawyers. The victims were locked inside an office in Tahir Plaza and were burnt alive. Due to these incidents, the lawyers are observing a black day as they will be wearing a black strip on their arms. The lawyers also did not attend courts due to which no judicial work was being carried out.
