Punjab CM accuses predecessors of compromising 'national interests'

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar on Sunday stated that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led (PTI) provincial government has opted ‘zero tolerance’ policy against menace of corruption.

“National interests were compromised in the past. The expired era was an age of [achieving and shielding] personal interests. At present, PTI is giving priority to national interests over everything else”, Buzdar told media personnel.

Buzdar also termed 60-day performance of Pakistan Tehreek-e-lnsaf-led (PTI) provincial govt better than 10-year tenure of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N).

Buzdar added that Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan was leaving no stone unturned to bring country out of the crisis. He went on to say that masses were immensely happy over piercing into ‘Naya Pakistan’ [new in English] from the old one.

He regretted that masses were bearing the cost of wrong decisions of previous rulers.
